RESPITE & SHORT TERM ACCOMMODATION

GIFSA's respite and short term accommodation (STA) services provide integrated supports for self-care, accommodation, food and activities in an individual or group residence for short periods. They recognise that, from time to time, participants may require temporary comprehensive supports that are different from their usual arrangements. They may also include a period of respite, which aims to support ongoing caring arrangements between participants and their careers.

 

Respite & STA allows the opportunity for the participant to be supported whilst providing their carer with short term breaks from their usual caring responsibilities.

These supports include all expenses in a 24-hour period. Typically, this type of support would be used for short periods of up to 14 days at a time.

GIFSA currently have 2 properties available for short term accommodation / respite, but will be adding another 2 properties later in the year.
