     - Kambalda Kids Club

Each program provides a flexible respite option in an inclusive and supportive community environment.

Intensive Family Support Funding
Administer funds for individuals and parents of a young adult disabled person, to access accommodation and support to enable the young adult to be maintained within the local community without compromising the quality of life of the individual.

Respite for Carers Program
Offers occasional, planned and emergency respite care to those carers of a family member with a disability. Care can be provided in a family’s home or out of home care and may include community access.

The Respite for Carers Program does not accept corporal punishment or any physical punishment as a means of discipline. Support workers are expected at all times to use firm, fair and friendly methods of discipline. A clear communication about acceptable standards of behaviour is effective in establishing a good relationship.

Age appropriate activities and behaviour are encouraged in all care situations. Maintaining and encouraging independence of the person in their care is also an important consideration for the Support Worker.
